Food Service Lead

Food Service - Durham, NC - Full Time

Description

Under supervision of the Operations Manager, direct and participate in the operation of the staffing/scheduling and training personnel in the food service arena. Perform a variety of tasks, including food prep, Serving food in a cafeteria and Banquet setting.    Coordinate and monitor the duties of food service workers in a lead capacity.

Preferred Skills

  • Knowledge of basic food quantity food preparation
  • Food service and sanitation principles as it applies to food service
  • Ability to follow written and verbal directions
  • Read and write English
  • Perform assigned tasks without close supervision
  • One year of paid or unpaid experience in a Food Service kitchen.

Education /Certification 

High School Diploma /Required
Associate Degree in  Arts/Business preferred
ServSafe Food Handler /ServSafe Workplace 

Physical Requirements

Employees in this position must have the ability to frequently stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, reach overhead, grasp, push, pull, lift and move objects up to 50 lbs. shoulder height and occasionally lift more than 50 lbs. with assistance
