Role Overview: This role involves administering treatments, interpreting telemetry data, coordinating care, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to promote patient recovery and safety.
Requirements:
Two (2) years’ experience required.
Neuro experience preferred not required.
1 year of EPIC charting experience required.
Flu Vaccine Required – No Exemptions.
Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS.
Active SC license required
Teaching Hospital experience preferred.
3 years’ experience within specialty required for 1st time travelers. Travelers will be required to complete an EKG exam.
Traveler must have some Urology and Vascular experience.
Travelers need MS/Tel comp.
Clinical Skills:
Required: IV therapy/Phlebotomy, Gastrointestinal, Heparin Protocols, Work Settings: MS/Tele and Respiratory, Genitourinary/Renal, Continuous Bladder Irrigation
Preferred: Accessing/Managing Ports, Blood Product Administration, Central line care/management, Peripheral Line Care/Management, PICC line management, Starting and maintaining IVs, Feeding tube care and management, PCA, Isolation Precautions/PPE, Wound Care/Wound Vac, Nasal Cannula, Oxygen tanks, Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management, Renal failure
Special Procedures:
Use Vendor Neutral Summary Notes.
The traveler will have 5-6 med-surgical patients, non- monitor. Length of stay for our patients is 1-2 days. Must do dressing changes; provide care for patients with wound vacs and drains. Traveler must have some Urology and Vascular experience.
Schedule:
Shift hours: Nights 3 x 12 hr. 1900-0730.
Weekend Requirement: Every other but may vary based on need.
