Role Overview: This role involves educating patients on proper hygiene practices, taking X‑rays, and collaborating closely with dentists to deliver high‑quality, patient‑focused care.
Requirements:

1 year of experience preferred
Flu Vaccine Required – No Exemptions
Required Licensure/Certification: SC Registered Dental Hygienist
Education - associate degree- Dental Hygiene

Job Description Summary:

Provides routine dental prophylaxis, supports patient education, and helps train dental hygiene students with minimal supervision. May also need access to medication storage areas and perform procedures involving medications.
Perform oral prophylaxis; remove hard and soft deposits and stains from the surfaces of teeth; polish all surfaces of teeth.
Apply topical fluoride to the teeth.
Expose and develop radiographs.
Give oral hygiene instruction and counseling.
Provide nutrition and dietary counseling.
Make and confirm appointments.
Review medical and dental health history.
Take and record blood pressure.
Chart dental disease.
Utilization of Epic Wisdom for charting and charge entry.
