Role Overview: This role provides specialized respiratory care to premature and critically ill newborns, including ventilator management, oxygen therapy, and airway support. Requirements:
- 1 year experience required
- Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions
- SC RRT license
- Certificates Required: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NRP, National license/certificate
- 1 year of EPIC experience.
- Medication System: Pyxis & Omnicell
- Able to work in all areas of PEDS which include PICU, NICU, ER and Acute Care.
Required Skills:
- Medication Delivery Systems: Aerosol set up mask, Aerosol set up trach, Metered Dose Inhaler (MDI)
- Medication Administration: Albuterol, Atrovent, Flovent, Mucomyst, Xopenex
- Oxygen therapy: Bag and mask, High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC), Trach collar
- Work Settings: Emergency Department, Pediatric Critical Care, Pediatrics
- Nebulizer: Handheld, Trach collar
Preferred Skills:
- Neonatal/Pediatrics - Equipment/procedures: Apnea Monitor, Capillary blood gases
Schedule:
- Shifts: 3x12‑hour shifts. Days 0700-1930 or Nights 1900-0730
- Weekend Coverage: Every other weekend (but may vary based on need)
- Floating is required if needed.
