Role Overview: This role provides care for patients with heart conditions by continuously monitoring their cardiac rhythms using telemetry equipment. This role involves assessing patients, administering medications, and responding rapidly to any changes or cardiac emergencies. It also involves working closely with the healthcare team and educating patients on managing their heart health.

Float required.
Call required – volume managed.
Weekend coverage - Every other.

Requirements:
- 2 years’ ER experience required.
- Flu Vaccine Required - No Exemptions.
- 1 year of EPIC experience is required.
- Certificates Required: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS and SC RN license.
- 1st time travelers considered based on experience.
- Skills: Telemetry, Cardiac Monitoring and Emergency response, Interpretation of dysrhythmias, Management of dysrhythmias.
- Patient Diagnoses: Inpatient adults with actual or potential life-threatening multisystem or cardiac conditions. Common cardiovascular diagnoses include but are not limited to sepsis, MI, unstable angina, Coronary Artery Disease. In addition, the patient population may include cardiac patients receiving IV antiarrhythmic therapy, vasoactive infusions, and anticoagulation.
- Special Procedures/Unit Details: Vasoactive drug administration, Antiarrhythmic drug therapy, Thrombolytic therapy, Defibrillation/cardioversion thoracentesis,
Cardiac telemetry monitoring, EKG, Non-invasive blood pressure monitoring.
