Manage and coordinate personnel activities under the supervision of the Graduate Medical Education (GME) Office Manager and Financial Analyst of a large, complex GME department to include, hiring and termination of GME house staff, execution of employment health benefits, processing classification/re-classifications of trainees and salary administration.
This individual will perform complex payroll duties involved in the preparation and processing of payroll for 1000 members.
Provide accurate, responsive and efficient Human Resources leadership consultation.
This individual will also serve as the content expert for Human Resources Information Systems and HR/Payroll transactions
Responsibilities and Duties
Direct liaison to Payroll Services
Employ, terminate and transfer GME Trainees on to appropriate payroll systems
Preserve, review, update and manage GME Trainees’ personal data changes such as change of address, marital status and change of name
Maintain personnel records for ~1000 GME Trainees
Review Applicant pool and present recommendations to Office Manager for preferred staff applicants
Facilitate pre-employment requirements for all new GME personnel, including the execution of I-9 processing, criminal background check, and scheduling of Hospital Orientation.
Manage the retention of employee files electronically after termination from GME
Present payroll and/or benefits updates during the Annual Program Coordinator Workshops and at monthly Program Coordinator meetings.
Process any equipment supply orders, maintenance requests, etc. for GME Office
Additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills
High school education or equivalent.
Two years of administrative support experience of increasing variety and/or complexity
