Materials Resource Technician -AW3251

General Description of the Job Class
 
Perform duties in computerized order entry, distribution of supplies, equipment, shipping and receiving of hospital merchandise and maintain good inventory management processes; meeting supply needs with prompt delivery, assuring accuracy of issues and insures the good working order and availability of equipment.
 
Duties and Responsibilities of this Level
 
Ensure accuracy of the inventory within the Material Services storeroom, and/or the Hospital Annex, and/or the Records Retention Warehouse. Prepare and assist in cycle count verifications and annual inventory. Consistently exhibits a commitment to accomplish fill rate objective. Identify and consistently maintain customer storage locations in PDAD. Communicate data to inventory control personnel for updating SAP. Respond appropriately to hazardous spills according to DUH policy. Ensure the highest degree of accuracy in the placement and labeling of patient charge items. Ensure the consistent efficiency of the restocking process. Receive, inspect, and deliver incoming supplies and equipment to the STAT Room and/or using departments. 
 
Required Qualifications at this Level
 
Education

 
Work requires the ability to work cooperatively and communicate well with others to achieve organizational and team goals, to work with professional manner in responding to customers' needs and ability to work in a computerized environment normally acquired through a high school education.
 
Experience

Work requires two years of experience of computer entry, inventory control, supply distribution, material handling
 
Degrees, Licensure, and/or Certification
 
Ability to strive to improve processes to enhance services. Work cooperative with others to achieve organizational and team goals. Ability to contribute in creating new ideas and problem solving. Possess a sense of urgency and a proactive customer service philosophy
 
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  
Must have the ability to exert 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. In this particular job the exertional requirements to push/pull the unloaded and loaded supply carts with the duty requiring up to 100 pounds of exertional force daily. Reaching, lifting, stooping and bending are frequent in daily duties.
