Parking Systems Technician

Job Description:

  • Ensure all systems are correctly configured and fully functional, including development and maintenance of necessary interfaces. Apply high degree of mechanical aptitude and skill to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair these systems.
  • Exercise strong understanding of networks and connectivity to ensure maximum systems availability and thus ensuring strong revenue flow.
  • Coordinate the work performed by service contractors, vendors, and other maintenance staff to include maintenance, calibration, and installation/removal of systems.
  • Provide regular and detailed reporting to management, to include services performed, outages and resolution of same, and recommendations for repairs and replacements. Trending of mean-time-between- failures (MTBF) of equipment and systems should be included in these reports.Perform other maintenance tasks, to include but not limited to, grounds- keeping, maintenance of parking facilities and lots, revenue collection and other duties appointed by department manager.

Required Qualifications at this Level

Education/Training:

Work requires a broad knowledge of clerical and accounting principles and practices normally acquired through two years of post-secondary education in secretarial science or a related business field.

Experience:

Work generally requires four years of related secretarial/clerical experience to acquire skills necessary to administer complex office functions related to office management, communications, and budgetary/accounting activities.
