Project & Marketing Specialist

Summary: 

The Project Specialist role is an integral position within a prestigious educational team that works closely with leadership to realize its respective goals. The position will help support marketing and communications activities as well as providing general project support. The Project Specialist will be regularly required to resolve diverse and advanced administrative, project and marketing communications related matters independently, to manage complex logistics for a variety of stakeholders, and to effectively complete assigned projects in a timely and efficient manner while not jeopardizing quality.

Duties:

  • Assists with the support of multiple project activities and core offerings.
  • Coordinates conference calls and meetings with key stake holders as needed to ensure projects and initiatives adhere to timelines and deliverables.
  • Participates in designated activities required to support key strategic initiatives and offerings within the group.
  • Coordinates the process of receiving, logging, tracking and responding to customer inquiries in order maintain a high level of customer service while gathering insights from potential partners, customers, etc.
  • Supports Project Managers and Project Leaders with the timely execution and delivery of activities specified in respective project plans and takes ownership accordingly.
  • Responsible for liaising between appropriate stakeholder groups (ie; account manager) in order to ensure open and timely communications are maintained and appropriate direction is provided.
  • Assists with marketing outreach efforts in support of business development and strategic initiatives, etc. Responsibility encompasses the management of list servers / databases for utilization in conducting market outreach activities.
  • In partnership with Project Managers / Project Leaders, coordinates the development of marketing collateral, both digital and print, which encompasses securing appropriate content, etc. while working collaboratively with Communications teams and / or external parties as needed.
  • Works with Communications teams to ensure the accuracy of content and messaging on both internal and external websites is updated in a timely fashion.
  • Disseminates marketing collateral (ie; newsletters, announcements, etc.) through email and social media channels (ie; LinkedIn, Twitter, etc.) and tracks analytics accordingly.
  • Support other marketing and communications activities as needed.
  • Coordinates calendar, schedule appointments, schedule and coordinate group meetings.
  • Perform other related duties incidental to the work described herein.

Education and Experience:
 

  • A Bachelor's degree is required
  • 2+ years of relevant experience is preferred. Relevant experience includes office management, administrative support, project coordination / management and marketing communications which includes knowledge of applicable software applications. Strong preference given to candidates with demonstrated interest in and passion for the health sector.
  • Project coordination / management skills required. 
  • Ability to set priorities, organize and manage multiple planning tasks independently.
  • Must have strong experience with Microsoft Office software applications, graphic design software, email campaign software, social media venues plus and knowledgeable about their capabilities as planning tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, WordPress, SharePoint, etc.).
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, a flare for organization.
